Bartram Trail

Tuesday evening Bartram Trail ride

During the off-season in spring, summer, and fall, FDSC members meet to bike on both Tuesday evenings and Thursday mornings. Tuesdays usually offer a choice of a trail ride or mountain biking in the Berks County area. Thursday mornings are rail-trail rides at locations up to an hour's drive in nearby Lancaster, Lebanon, Lehigh or Montgomery counties and occasionally as far away as York or northern Maryland.

The club also usually has an annual multi-day biking trip to a farther location. Members make their own hotel reservations and the ride leader offers options for rides and other activities. Some places we've gone in the past include Cape Cod, the Hudson Valley, and St. Michael's, MD. We even had a ride around the Gettysburg Battlefield with narration provided by one of our knowlegable club members.
Adapted Sports Cinco de Mayo Ride

Club riders support the PA Center for Adapted Sports

Many club members own kayaks or paddleboards and enjoy getting together to paddle on Saturday or Sunday mornings or for "moonlight" paddles at Blue Marsh Lake on full moon nights.

Sundays are for hiking.
Locations are moderate (green-blue) to more challenging (blue-black or even some double-black) trails around the Berks County area.
It's a great way to stay in shape for ski season.
